Tera Mai™ Reiki & Seichem Reiki is a Japanese word meaning Universal Life Force Energy. It is an ancient healing system that is thought to have originated in Japan in the late 1800's. Tera Mai™ Reiki & Seichem is an expanded form of Reiki. With Reiki you are working with the earth element. With Seichem you are also able to work with the energies connected with the elements; fire, water, air and ether, therefore working with a larger and more complete energy system.
Reiki & Seichem Treatment Treatment is received lying fully clothed on a treatment couch. The therapist places her hands lightly on the body for 3-5 minutes in each of 8-12 hand positions. The energy is allowed to flow to wherever it is required in the recipient's body.
The treatment is holistic, non-invasive and has no side effects. It can speed up recovery after injuries and trauma, significantly reduce stress and will leave the recipient with a deep sense of well being.
Most people generally experience a pleasing warmth or gentle tingling through the body during the treatment. Some people come off the couch feeling active and energised; some people fall asleep and need a few minutes to come to. What you experience will depend on your needs and the wisdom of Reiki & Seichem.
Anna also practises aromatherapy (from a Chinese perspective) and VortexHealing® Energetic Therapy.

Further Information About Reiki HealingAlthough based on ancient philosophy, it was founded by 19th century Japanese theologian Dr. Mikao Usui. Reiki means universal (rei) life force (ki). When ki is strong and free, the body and mind stays healthy. But if ki is blocked or is weak then the body may become physically ill, emotionally unbalanced or spiritually barren. The reiki practitioner must open their own healing channel to connect the universal life force with the receiver.
Reiki is a spiritual healing art using guided life-force energy. During a reiki session, the client stays fully clothed while reclining on a massage table or seated in a chair. The practitioner transmits healing energy through the hands. He or she will place their hands on or just above the client’s body. There are 12 basic positions, 4 on the head, 4 on the back and 4 on the abdomen. Ki passes out of the practitioners hand and into the client’s body, refreshing and cleansing their own ki.
The reiki practitioner must follow guidelines of ethics and behaviour in their life and can pass through different levels of attainment. Practitioners usually attain “second degree” status before offering treatments.
Reiki sessions usually last an hour or so. It makes no claim to cure any specific condition. It is not a form of treatment. Clients should play a positive part in their own treatment by being open to the help reiki can provide.
Reiki can be used to maintain physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health. Reiki sessions can help relieve tension and stress and promote a more positive approach to life.
Conditions that may respond to reiki healing inclue stress-related problems, anxiety, depression, headaches, migraine.
