There are energy zones that run throughout the body and reflex points in the feet that correspond to all the major organs, glands and body parts.
Each foot is a map of the whole body. The right foot corresponds to the right side of the body and the left to the left side of the body.
Reflexology releases blockages in the flow of energy caused by illness, stress, pain, negative thoughts and emotions and toxins etc, promoting overall health and wellbeing.

Welcome to the wonderful healing art of Reflexology! Felicity Bevell offers Foot and Facial Reflexology in Central, North and North West London
What is Reflexology? Reflexology is a relaxing technique that applies gentle pressure to points on the feet, the hands or the face to bring about a state of relaxation; stimulating the body's own healing processes to return to a state of balance and well-being.
It is suitable for all ages and for many acute and chronic conditions. People also access reflexology as a way of relaxing mind and body or to counteract stress.
Initial consultations take around one hour and involve an in-depth discussion about your general health and lifestyle. This enables us to form an individual treatment plan most suited to your needs. Felicity also believes in empowering people to be involved in using Reflexology to help themselves and may teach people techniques to use at home.
About Felicity Felicity Bevell became aware of the healing art of Reflexology whilst working as an Occupational Therapist within the NHS. Chris is passionate about reflexology and believes it is one of the most relaxing complementary therapies for both body and mind, not just during the treatment but the relaxing effects usually last for some time afterwards.
She has worked as a reflexologist for over 10 years and has undertaken additional training in advanced, pregnancy and Chinese reflexology techniques.
Reflexology works on the principle that all parts of our body are mirrored in miniature on our feet and that by applying pressure to specific points on the feet (reflex points) energy pathways to the corresponding areas in the body are stimulated and energy blockages released. In addition, through the thousands of nerve endings in the feet it is believed that reflexology stimulates the nervous system as well as improving circulation and thus helping to cleanse the body of toxins.
A reflexology session normally lasts about 1 1/4 hours and costs £40. Gift vouchers are available if you would like to give a reflexology treatment as a present.

Reflexology Massage
Stimulating healing throughout the body using pressure points in the feet
Reflexology is an ancient Eastern healing tradition based on the principle that all parts of our body are connected by energy pathways which end in the hands, feet and head. A reflexology treatment uses pressure massage on specific areas of the feet to stimulate healing in the corresponding organs, glands and structures. This releases areas of tension and helps energy to flow more freely throughout your body.

Further Information About Reflexology
Although it can be traced to ancient times, reflexology was developed by an American, Dr. William Fitzgerald, around a century ago. By applying pressure to one part of the body, he found pain could be relieved in another part. He believed they were linked by a flow of energy. He called this "zone therapy". It was further developed by American physiotherapist Eunice Ingham (1889-1974). The foot was mapped out into areas corresponding to the various glands, organs and systems of the body. The whole body therefore is represented in the feet. The right foot corresponds to the right side of the body, and the left foot to the left side. Any organ can be stimulated by applying pressure to the parts of the foot (reflexes) representing that organ.
Reflexology is a holistic therapy because massaging the feet is said to relieve stress and tension, promote a sense of well being, improve nerve function and blood supply, increase energy and vitality and encourage the body's self-healing mechanisms.
In a consultation the reflexologist will ask questions about the client's state of health, medical background and current problems. The bare feet will then be examined. Treatment involves moving the thumb and fingers over the foot in small, precise movements. Locating the tender and sensitive areas will suggest imbalances in the corresponding organs. Applying pressure is believed to break up crystal-like deposits, which in turn helps cells to eliminate toxins, unblock nerve impulses, and improve blood supply.
